For aggressive grinding. T29 domed shape silicon carbide (C) resin fiber disc for non-ferrous materials such as fiberglass, marble, enamels, porcelain, China clay, and for removing epoxy, glue or urethane. ZEC® abrasive discs - Semi-flex discs

ZEC® abrasive discs

ZEC discs acquire flexibility a few minutes after being used: flexibility cannot be tested by hand in a cold condition. Flexibility deadens vibration and reduces operator fatigue. Just exert a slight pressure while working. Perforated holes prevent work piece from overheating and ejects scraps. ISO 9001 approved. European Standard EN13743. Most popular sizes are listed below. 2.0 mm thick fiber backing and multiple layers of first-rate silicon carbide abrasive. This style disc is intended to be mounted on hand grinding machines with a proper backing pad.

Discs that do not require a backing pad

Two discs shown below include an attached backing. They do not require any additional backing pads. Both discs are constructed with the backing pad being part of the disc.

CGW Camel type 27 semi-flex discs

CGW Camel type 27 semi-flex discs

No backing pad needed. These heavy-duty semi-flex silicon carbide discs are constructed with an attached, rigid fiberglass backing for aggressive grinding. Suitable for fiberglass, non-ferrous metals, stone, brick, masonry, concrete prep work and floor coating removal. Made for unlimited storage life. No deformation due to use, heat, or humidity. Disc is a flat shape with a depressed center. Other finer grits available. Can be used wet or dry. Sold by the pack, 5/pack. WARNING : Proposition 65 Label for Camel discs .

ZEC Plastic Litex discs

No backing pad needed. These discs are constructed with an attached plastic backing for aggressive grinding. They fit directly onto the hand grinding machine. ZEC Plastic discs can be used wet and underwater. Reduces the cost of grinding operations because no backing pad is needed. Discs listed below are the most popular sizes of silicon carbide grit.
